Brad is a well-respected veteran in the commercial art field. He likes to say he cut his design teeth with an X-Acto blade and a drafting table, which is in fact true. That early experience in print design, though not without its painful moments, cemented his trademark of clean, simple, and traditional graphic design and provided the foundation for his later move to the world of digital production. And as he never ceases to point out to clients, those "old school" design principles are more important than ever in this evolving new world of new media, because they separate digital design that works from digital design that becomes random clutter.
Also a talented illustrator and writer, Brad provides a level of experience, talent, professionalism and pragmatism that is not often found in a smaller market. (Another fact that he likes to remind us of, in his own endearing way.) In addition to his responsibilities as Art Director at Insyt New Media, Brad is licensed as a Registered Master Maine Guide, owns and operates an award-winning website devoted to upland bird hunting, and is the outdoor columnist/illustrator for a regional print magazine.
Brad attended The New England School of Art & Design in Boston, with a concentration in graphic design and illustration, and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Brad admits to spending way too much time outdoors hunting and fishing but always finds time for his wife of 25 years Jo Ann, and keeping track of his two daughters. As he gets a bit "longer in the tooth" writing and fine art are becoming more of a priority.
